Prof. Peter Samuely, Vice President for Science, Research and Innovations of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Visited QMES

On October 21, 2019, Professor Peter Samuely, Vice President for Science, Research and Innovations of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS), visited QMES, NPU. During the visit, he met with Shi Xuetao, Director for the Faculty of Polymer Materials and Engineering of QMES, and gave a lecture to the undergraduates on the topic of Introduction to Superconductivity. Prof. Zhang Chengyu from the School of Materials Science and Engineering attended the meeting and lecture.

Director Shi Xuetao introduced about the establishment background, operation and development prospect of QMES in details and sincerely hoped to have more exchanges with SAS to jointly carry out practical cooperation in scientific research, teaching and talent training.Prof. Peter had an in-depth talk with Shi Xuetao on topics including potential candidates for QMES, teaching and learning, scientific research and development prospects of QMES graduates.

After the meeting, Prof. Peter gave a lecture on Introduction to Superconductivity to the undergraduates of QMES, introduced the development history of SAS, the current faculty, teaching and academic researches, and then answered questions from the audiences.
